Historic Benton Hot Springs Non-Profit This nonprofit was established in 2012 with a mission to preserve the buildings of Benton Hot Springs and keep the stories of silver mining alive and real. We support this energetic and dedicated group. The non-profit is currently restoring a historic tinker wagon, the historic cemetery on the hill, continuing with the restoration of the historic Wai Wera hotel and placed several interpretative signs in town along Highway 120. Their efforts are only possible through fund raising events. The events consist of lively and fun living history presentations and relevant lecture topics. June 14, 2025 - Benton Hot Springs Through the Decades: The event starts at 3 pm at the historic Wai Wera Hotel. The afternoon will be full of historic talks, tours, and activities that span the decades of Benton Hot Springs history. The day includes a scavenger hunt, poker game, horse races and more. Each activity representing a decade of history of the "town that never died". The event concludes with a catered dinner and dancing if you are up to the popular dances of each decade. Come dressed in clothes from your favorite decade and enjoy all Benton Hot Springs has to offer. Tickets are $125.00. Lodging and tub sites are available only for those attending the event. October 4, 2025 - Orange County Ghost and Legends Event: The second annual paranormal investigation of Benton Hot Springs returns.
